![]() ![]() ![]() I’ll spend some time going over any responses this thread gets, and then post replies in the near future. So if your questions relate to this topic, I encourage you to ask them. However, I do not feel this precludes me from fielding questions relating to indie development (I’ve worked on indie games in the past, and in fact I have an indie idle game I’ve worked on in my free time that I’m hoping to launch soon). If you have a question regarding art, music, production methodology, etc., again I will be happy to query my team for answers.ĪdCap did not have a strictly indie origin - I had a small budget and a small amount of time to create and “prove” the game. I’ve worked as a Narrative Designer, Level Designer, and currently a Game Designer. I just cannot guarantee I’ll be able to answer all such questions. However, I would be more than happy to chat with my team if you have any deeply technical questions. I have an amateur’s level of skill in coding (just enough to make prototypes), but have limited technical knowledge. I’ll do my best to address everything, but obviously don’t want to make any promises I would regret in hindsight. If you guys wouldn’t mind upvoting your favorite questions, it’ll help me sort and prioritize the responses. I just happen to have spent the last two years on the ground floor of bringing an Idle/Incremental game from prototype to success. Please note that this thread is not related to customer support for AdCap (please email our trusty support team for that! ), nor should it be considered a promotion for AdCap (if you don’t like the game, that’s totally cool, don’t let it stop you from asking questions). ![]() So… this thread is sort of a, “Hey, do you have any questions? Great! I’ll do my best to answer them!” But answering these questions piecemeal is not very effective, and trying to write something more general for the community at large might not prove especially useful. I tend to receive a lot of inquiries regarding AdCap and the process by which it was developed, launched, marketed, and ultimately successful. The reason I’m posting today, as the topic alludes, is I’d like to solicit your questions. I'm a long time lurker of this subreddit, as you may or may not know, and only post or reply occasionally when I’m feeling bold enough (Internet comments can be scary). Hey r/Incremental_games, I'm hypercody and I'm the Lead Designer for AdVenture Capitalist over at Hyper Hippo Games. I've been getting a lot of messages asking if questions are too late, but I intend to answer as many as possible. EDIT - Hey everyone - my intention was to answer questions overtime, not just within a single session. ![]()
